HONOURING OUR MATRIARCHS
Under the guidance of our matriarchs, and following ancient ceremonies and songs of Indigenous peoples, as well as creative expressions of visual and performing arts, music, storytelling, and guest speakers the WSC 2017 called the wild salmon home to the rivers and streams where they play out their lives in birth and death.
THE SPIRIT OF WILD SALMON
The 2016 Wild Salmon Caravan nurtured the creative energy that wild salmon have inspired through the ages, and affirm inter-tribal relationships that are the foundation of Indigenous trade economies and wild salmon knowledge, wisdom and values.
THE WILD SALMON WILL HEAR OUR SOUNGS
The 2015 WSC provided an opportunities to engage the public and raise awareness of the ecological and social importance of wild salmon through various forms of artistic and cultural media.
