Salmon in Backyard – Smokehouse Salmon strips hanging in my backyard smokehouse, these will take three to four days to dry. Salmon Strips#2 Meadow Camp This photograph of salmon strips, was taken in the smokehouse at my meadow fish camp on the Chilcotin River, Farwell Canyon, B.C. Roseanne Haller Roseanne, Chilcotin from Toosey Reserve, is filleting strips from the salmon in preparation for cutting the sides for the smokehouse. The strips are then hung on racks in the smokehouse, see background. Sheila Hurst Sheila, Chilcotin from Toosey Reserve, breaking the spine from the salmon before cutting in the Liliooet style.
