Well that sure is a mouthful isn’t it?
For those that don’t know the acronyms, the Wild Salmon Caravan was honoured to present at the BC Food Systems Network Gathering 2017 held at UBC Farms on unceded Musqueam Territory.
The gathering kicked off with a traditional welcoming by Jeri Sparrow and consisted of three days of conversations around the food systems in British Columbia.
Wild Salmon Caravan delivered a presentation entitled “Mobilizing Support For Indigenous Sovereignty Through The Wild Salmon Caravan” along side an arts build. Many great connections were made as well as an ideation session with 9 members of different food systems organizations from around B.C.
Below are some photos of the process and final product.
We started with a conversation around ‘what wild salmon means to us’. Ronnie kept notes of key concepts, values and understandings in a word cloud.
This data was then transferred from paper to software and created into a graphic declaration and promotional material for Wild Salmon Caravan.
Thanks to the BC Food Systems Network for having us out and thanks for your work.
